Rebecca Lockwood, Ph.D., is a Clinical Psychologist with Albany Area Primary Health Care (AAPHC) in Albany, Georgia. Originally from Illinois she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Illinois State University. She then earned her Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from The University of Memphis in Memphis, TN. After starting and managing her own private practice for 12 years, Dr. Lockwood moved to Georgia in 2018 for a new opportunity. She then joined AAPHC in February, 2020. 

Dr. Lockwood has extensive training, including a specialized focus on children and adolescents, as well as the ability to work with all ages and conduct psychological testing. She currently supervises testing of children, adolescents, and adults by our psychometrists, as well as conducting her own evaluations. Dr. Lockwood also completes disability evaluations and assists as needed with providing the Physician Assistant Students on their mental health clinical rotations with exposure to clinical interviewing and assessment.

She also enjoys life in Southwest Georgia with her husband and two adolescent children. In her free time, she and her family are usually running to either a game or practice. Her daughter plays high school and club/travel volleyball, and her son plays baseball and basketball. The family also enjoys trips to the beach, exercising, working in the yard, and reading.
