AAPHC Provides Health Care To Southwest Georgia

Albany Area Primary Health Care, Inc. is a non-profit corporation established in 1979 to provide access to quality health care for people in several southwest Georgia communities.

The offices of the corporation were organized by people from Baker, Calhoun, Dougherty, Lee, and Terrell counties who saw a need for medical services in their areas. The offices are now managed by a board of citizens from the areas they serve.

Staffed by highly trained professionals, our offices are equipped to handle almost any medical problem. Our offices are open to the general public, adults and children, regardless of residence or income.

Our Primary Care services include the medical specialties of family practice, general internal medicine and general pediatrics. In addition, our physicians develop partnerships with patients in the context of family and community.

If you have any questions that aren’t answered on this web site, please contact us at 229-888-6559 or use our handy contact form.

What Is
Primary Care?

Primary Care is the provision of comprehensive, coordinated and continuous care in a variety of settings across any stage of the life cycle.

Primary Care provides for the majority of personal health needs, which means that problems are not restricted to organ system, gender, or disease entity and may include physical, mental, emotional and social concerns.

Primary Care is thus defined not by who provides it, but by what services are delivered.
