Monique Cheryl Adu, D.O., FAAP, grew up in Brooklyn NY, with aspirations to make a difference in health care. She loved to teach from a very young age, and found Pediatrics to be a perfect fit for her passions and goals. Dr. Adu earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Long Island University, graduating with Magna Cum Laude distinction, and then went on to earn her Osteopathic Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her Residency in Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta GA, and served as a Co-Chief Resident while there. She is board certified in Pediatrics, and a Faculty of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Adu has been serving parents, infants, children, and young adults for several years, and has a passion for preventive medicine, as prevention of illness is our nation's best cure. She has practiced as a General Pediatrician for about 10 years now, through traditional office, inpatient, and telemedicine visits, with a focus on nutrition, sustainability, and healthy living practices.
When not working, she loves spending time with her husband and 3 children, gardening, farming, and reading the oldest and latest books on integrative and functional medicine, as well as healthy living methods, and practical life skills. In sharing simple, and practical tips, it is her hope to help families become well informed and empowered in their health.
