Sheena Elois Favors, D.O., M.S., FACOOG, serves as the co-director of Women’s Services Program at Albany Area Primary Health Care and is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist.

Being board-certified ensures that Dr. Favors, as your physician, has received recognition for her high standards of education, knowledge, experience, and skills. She is a highly-trained, highly-skilled physician who is committed to assisting her patients with their healthcare needs from pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and other gynecological services such as fibroid management and menstrual irregularities. She also focuses on knowing new and innovative techniques to assist in the treatment of GYN pathology. With her extensive knowledge of OB/GYN issues, she is ready to assist her patients at all times.

Additionally, Dr. Favors has met additional criteria to be named a Fellow of The American Congress of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOOG). By choosing a FACOOG as your physician, you can trust you will receive the highest level of health care.

A native Georgian, Dr. Favors not only has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Furman University in Greenville South Carolina. She went on to attain her Master’s Degree in Biomedical Science from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia. After completing her Master’s program, Dr. Favors went on to receive her Medical Degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia campus.

Upon graduation, Dr. Favors completed a traditional internship in Danville, Virginia. She completed a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Far Rockaway, New York. This facility cared for patients from all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Dr. Favors is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists well as a member of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Favors is passionate about serving the underserved community with Albany Area Primary Health Care

In her free time, Dr. Favors enjoys spending time with her husband, mother, and younger brother as well as her two small dogs. She enjoys traveling and transforming antique furniture into new pieces of art.
